Labneh is a thick strained yoghurt that’s straightforward to make utilizing pure yoghurt. Topped with heat spiced oranges it makes a beautiful breakfast or mild dessert. With a GI of 39 this meal is excessive protein, low GI and offers 193 kcal per portion.
- 2 x 150g/5½oz pots fat-free pure yogurt
- 3 oranges
- good pinch floor cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 10g/¼ ozunsalted pistachio nuts, roughly chopped (alternatively use toasted flaked almonds)
For the labneh, line a sieve with a single layer of muslin material and place over a bowl. Spoon the yoghurt into the sieve and tie up the ends of the material. Go away to empty within the fridge in a single day.
